7-22-09: Spent most of the day driving to Tacoma, WA where Mike's cousin Liz and her husband Steve live. We checked out a local park (Point Defiance Park) where we saw a Japanese garden, a Rose Garden, and a duck pond. Gaby and Mom spent a lot of time in the Rose Garden smelling all the varieties of roses. Gaby collected lots of different-colored rose petals from the ground and put them in her purse. We met up with Liz and Steve again at a fish and chips place for dinner; it was nice catching up with them.
